J Paul Getto
Few house music artists have enjoyed both the longevity and sustained success earned by J Paul Getto - which actually started as a 2010 collaboration between Tony Saputo and Maurice Tamraz 2010, with the pair working under the guidance of long-time Armand Van Helden manager Neil Petricone at X-Mix. Operating as a solo artist since 2013, Saputo has been such a consistent and SOLID producer that even James Brown is Getting Down.
The JPG sound is a seamless blend of contemporary techniques and heartfelt emotions bolstered with classic samples. Mining his own unique vein of sample heavy disco house, J Paul Getto created an impressive body of work in a short time, releasing tracks like ‘3000’ and ‘Paris Fried Chicken’. Now boasting a full repertoire of HOUSE music floor-fillers, J Paul Getto revels in his role as the new minister of funk.
For years, J Paul Getto has rocked leading ENTERTAINMENT events across the US and throughout the world. He has held the Body Heat residency in Milan, closed the X-Mix party in Miami with Todd Terry, wowed crowds in Dubai, Ibiza. He has also headlined at the Amsterdam Dance Event and featured at Coachella. Kaskade personally asked JPG to be the opener for his 2016 and 2018 Redux shows in Boston.
J Paul Getto continues to release original works and remixes on leading labels like Z Records, Glasgow Underground, Guesthouse, Brobot, Nurvous, and Fogbank, a label almost 300 releases started by Armand Van Helden and resurrected by JPG in 2011. In 2016, J Paul secured four Traxsource Top 10s, including two #1s, and was crowned Traxsource #2 House Artist of the Year and #13 Traxsource Artist of the Year. And with support coming from P. Diddy for his remix of Nas' ‘The Don’, J Paul Getto’s stock continues it’s impressive climb.
